The Power of Intention 

The angels have guided me to write about the power of our thoughts and words to manifest abundance in our lives.  We have all heard how important it is to be positive and about the self fulfilling prophecy which says that what we believe we are, we will be.  What do you want to bring to you... peace, joy, love, financial security, silliness, comfort, protection, loving relationships?  So we must intend to bring this to us.  We do this by making sure our thoughts and words are positive.  We do this by canceling out our fears and worries and old tapes we heard as children from parents, teachers, or society.

This is all Root chakra work.  The chakras are our energy systems and our root chakra at the base of our spine holds our tribal beliefs of what we are supposed to do while here on earth.  Like... we must have jobs and that we need to make things happen.  This is the "should" area.  "I should do this or I should do that."  These are beliefs we get from our community and society about our connection to each other and the world.  This is important to our sense of belonging and a necessary part of our evolution to becoming clear and connected spirits.  It is the beginning of the journey to our true inner spirit. 

So, as we hear fears and worries of  "You can't have, be or do that, you are not trained in that.  You are too_____, or not enough_________. You don't deserve ________.  Something bad will happen if you ask for ______.  It's selfish to ask for abundance.  If you have it, someone else will not."  Or if you hear old tapes of ... "Work must be work. There's no money in ______________."  You want to cancel those negative/ fear based thoughts by picturing bubbles with the words in them over your head, like in a cartoon scene.  You want to say Cancel, Cancel, Delete, Delete and picture yourself hitting the delete key on your computer and the bubble of negativity disappearing.  Or you can picture that you have a big eraser and erase those thoughts away.

The next step is real important.  You want to affirm the opposite of your fear 10 times.  Affirmations are positive statements about yourself in the present tense. The angels have told me that our thoughts are like snowflakes.  One thought or snowflake doesn't have a lot of power but the more we think a thought over and over the more power and momentum it has.  The energy of the planet is so strong right now that it doesn't take as long as it used to to manifest.  Manifesting is bringing into physical form our desires and intentions.

So we have a great desire to bring a soulmate relationship to us, to get paid for work we love, to have financial security, to feel peace or to have more time in our lives for fun.  Then our ego or lower self says... "Yeah right.... You aren't this or you're not that.  Or that happens to others or there's no jobs out there, be grateful you have a job.  Blah blah blah."  Can you see the negative pile of snow getting bigger and bigger and bigger?  Living on the east coast in April, I am done with the snow and don't want that big negative pile to grow.  That one positive thought is a little beautiful snowflake all by itself. We want to nurture that dream or goal so that it will gain momentum and power.

Over and over say the opposites of your fears as if your dreams and desires are already here.  If you want to quit smoking proclaim to the world, "I am a Non-smoker." even with a cigarette in your hand.  You want to act as if.  You aren't lying to yourself.  You are proclaiming the truth of what you want to bring to you.  You don't want to say.... I want this or that.  Can you see that this will bring the wanting of it and not what you are desiring?  Use present tense affirmations only.

Now we're moving into our Sacral chakra. This is where we hold our thoughts and beliefs about passion, joy, creativity and relationships.  This is where we remember that we do need to bring in money from a job to pay our bills but how can we do it with joy and passion.  How can we bring our gifts and creativity into our lives more while still getting our physical needs met?  It's where we break away from the tribe we grew up with and find our own ways to bring happiness to ourselves through our work and relationships. This is where we move from the tribe to the individual.  It's where our emotions reside.  The color of this chakra is orange.  Like a big and beautiful sun shining light on what brings us joy and showing us our creative nature.

Remember that it's all about our intentions.  What we intend through our thoughts and words, we bring into the physical.  Make sure you are bringing to you through your thoughts and words, your desires and not your fears.  The angels are always telling me to stop telling them what we don't want and tell them what we do want.  Here are a few of my favorite affirmations that have brought me much peace, clarity and abundance.  Make some of your own.  You know what you want.  Focus on it.  Picture what it will be like to live it.  Be grateful for God's blessings already in your life and thank God/ess for these new blessings that are on their way.  Feel the excitement of what it will be like to have what you desire easily and effortlessly.  Know that if it is for your Highest good, it will come.
